Sideboard (48 x 220 x 97 cm)

Dimensions:

• Depth: 48 cm
• Width: 220 cm
• Height: 97 cm

Unique and Characterful Shanxi Sideboard, crafted from an authentic Chinese grain bin. A truly distinctive piece of furniture with a rich history and a beautiful, naturally aged appearance.

This grain bin originally came from a traditional Chinese farm, where it was used for storing grain. The robust chest was later professionally transformed into a practical sideboard with front doors, while preserving the original appearance and character of the aged wood.

The sideboard is crafted from solid elm wood (Yumu) and has developed a beautiful, soft grey natural patina over the years. The pronounced grain, subtle variations in colour and traces of age give the piece an authentic, time-worn character.

Thanks to its generous dimensions and long, low silhouette, this sideboard is a true statement piece. It works beautifully as a sideboard, TV unit or characterful accent piece in a country, modern or wabi-sabi interior.
